MathBoost

Are you planning to take math courses this summer? If so, then check out the new MathBoost sections! These sections provide additional academic support services to improve your learning and boost your grades.

What is MathBoost?

The MathBoost program combines short intensive math courses with increased academic support to create a strong summer math immersion option. MathBoost sections are available for MATH 101, 102, 103, 121, 123, 150 and 153.

MathBoost sections offer you following benefits:

  • Optional Review Workshops to help you prepare (held the week before the first day of instruction)
  • Assistance forming peer study groups
  • Math Tutors placed in each classroom
  • For MATH 121, 150 and 153, on-site tutoring before and after class each day
  • For MATH 101, 102, 103 and 121, easy switching between sections if you place higher than you originally anticipated, or if you advance faster than usual

MathBoost sections for MATH 101, 102, 103 and 121 will be held in the UNM Math Learning Lab (MaLL). MathBoost sections for MATH 123, 150 and 153 will be held on the second floor of Dane Smith Hall.
MathBoost sections for MATH 101, 102, 103, 121, 123 and 150 will be offered in four-week formats June 1-25 (1H) and June 26 – July 25 (2H). MathBoost sections for MATH 153 will be offered in an eight-week format June 1 – July 26.
